Bowling Green, OH - BGSU Professor Emeritus Ralph W. Frank, 95.
He was born on Sept. 10, 1918 to Mary Laverne (Huffman) and William David Frank in Massillon, Ohio. He taught for over 50 years.
Ralph was a survivor of the Great Depression and worked his way through high school and college by playing big band jazz. He played the saxophone and clarinet and considered becoming a musician until he realized the limits of his talent.
He went from teaching grade and high school to college classes. He attained a Master's Degree in Geography from Kent State University in 1947 and a Ph.D. from Northwestern University in 1952. His regions of expertise were Japan and Ohio.

Audrey Jane Dinehart, 92, of Fremont, passed away on Sunday (Jan. 19, 2014).
Friends will be received from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 25, 2014) at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1 p.m.

Dean-Emil-ObitEmil M. Dean, 80, of Millbury, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, surrounded by his loving family
Emil was born in Bradner, Ohio on July 7, 1933 to Willard and Martha (Miller) Dean. On September 11, 1965, he married Dorothy Brown.
Emil was employed with Kuhlman Corporation for 40 years, retiring in 1991. Emil enjoyed working as a carpenter and cement mason and operated a construction business for over 40 years.
He enjoyed traveling to Tennessee and visiting the local flea markets. His true passion was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Emil is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dorothy; children, Darell (Karen) Dean, Pamela (Marijo) Sakac, Rhonda (Mike) Scott, Dwain Brandt, and Darryl (Julie) Dean; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and brother, Elmer (Betty) Dean. Emil is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and loving family members.
