Robert Worthy Nixon, age 82 of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 at Elmwood at the Springs, Greensprings. He was born March 25, 1930 in Bowling Green, the son of the late Farmer M. and Ardah (Forrester) Nixon. Robert was a proud veteran and was a retired CPO in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a member of the Toledo Harbor Light Association, VFW Post 2947 and American Legion Post 121. He was an avid auto racing fan and had a lifelong appreciation of fine knives. Survivors include his son, Stanley (Sally) Nixon and their children; brothers, Ronald Nixon and Rodney Nixon; and a sister, Barbara Levers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bonnie Nixon. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
