Robert D. Shammo

Robert D. Shammo, 84, of Pemberville, OH, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at home.
He was born March 19, 1929 in Gibsonburg, OH to Charles and Mabel (Sevitts) Shammo. On October 8, 1955 he
married Virginia Schuerman in Pemberville and she survives.
Bob was a life-long farmer and also worked as an insulator for P.R. Sussman Company, Toledo.
His memberships included Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Pemberville and Local #45: Heat and Frost Insulators,
Toledo.
In his spare time he enjoyed taking care of his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years: Virginia, daughters: Rhonda (Mark) Peterson of Galena, OH,
Michele "Shelly" (Doug) Albright of Pemberville, Wendy (Willie) Fisher of Gibsonburg,
grandchildren: Katie (Tom) Middleton, David (Cassie) Peterson, Chad (Victoria) Albright, Brooke
Albright, Mackenzie Albright, Amanda (Derek) Wasserman and Ashley (fianc?©: Casey Skowron) Fisher,
great-grandchildren: Emily, Thomas, Brianna, Taylor, sisters: Mardel Haslinger and Alice Shammo both of
Gibsonburg, Lucille Hoodlebrink and Margorie Gregg both of Woodville, Mary Ann Collins of Fairborn, Pat
(Bob) Kline of Helena, sisters-in-law: Barb, Joyce and Naomi Shammo, all of Gibsonburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Donald, Clyde, Ralph and Bill Shammo and sister: Norma
"Susie" Hiser.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday,
February 20, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville,
OH.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 11 a.m. from Bethlehem Lutheran
Church, Pemberville, with additional visitation from 10 a.m. until time of services. Officiating will be
Rev. Matthew Musteric.
Interment will be in Eisenhour Cemetery, Pemberville, OH.
There will be a bereavement luncheon served at Riverview Banquet Centre, Pemberville, immediately
following the cemetery committal services.
Considerations for memorial contributions are to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
