Robert O. Bovlick, 66, of Wayne, Ohio, died on Sunday, January 5, 2014, at his residence.
He was born in Elkhart, IN on October 8, 1947. He married Vicki Akerman on October 4, 1975, and she
survives.
He was preceded in death by his adopted parents, Edward and Virginia (Zook) Bovlick.
Bob is survived by his biological mother, Lois (Nick) Beevers of Edon, OH; his daughters: Sara (Adam)
Stevens of Findlay and Katie (Alex Woods) Bovlick of Fostoria; his brother, Steven (Debbie) Beevers of
Bryan, OH; his sisters: Lois Mae Scott of Edon, OH, Melody Boyce of NC and Casandra Benedict of Reading,
MI.
Bob was a U.S. Army veteran having served our country during the Vietnam War.
He retired from Cooper Standard where he was a Maintenance Mechanic.
He was a member of the Greater Toledo PT Cruiser Club and the Tuesday Night Crawlers. Bob loved his PT
Cruiser and attending car shows, but his greatest love was his family.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2013, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North
Baltimore, with Pastor Jon Rhinehart officiating, and per Bob’s request please do not dress up, as he
wanted everyone to wear jeans and casual clothes.
Visitation will be held 2 hours (4-6 p.m.) prior to the funeral on Friday.
A graveside service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2013 in Lee Cemetery, Amanda Township.
