Robert L. Goff, age 83, of Bradner, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday (May 25, 2014) at the Bridge
Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green, Ohio.
He was born on May 16, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio to his parents, Harold D. and Estella E. (Thaxton) Goff.
Bob married Nora L. Norris on November 8, 1953 in Findlay, Ohio.
Surviving Bob are his loving wife of 60 years, Nora; daughter, Diana S. (Stanley McCaulley) Rumschlag of
Risingsun, Ohio; grandchildren, Jason (Amanda) Maynard of Fostoria, Ohio, Eric (Yuanyuan) Maynard of
Laurel, Maryland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Estella, and his son, Gary Allyn Goff.
Bob was a 1949 graduate of Risingsun High School, and then served his country proudly in the Army during
the Korean War.
He retired from the formerly known Autolite/Bendix, now currently known as Honeywell, where he worked for
many years.
Bob was a member of the Albert Bowe American Legion Post #338 in Bradner, Ohio, and he was the former
owner of Goff Salvage.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday (May 28, 2014) at Barndt Funeral Home
in Wayne, Ohio.
A graveside service will take place on Thursday (May 29, 2014) at 11 a.m. at Memory Gardens in Arcadia,
Ohio, with Pastor Ron Merritt officiating. Military Honors will be performed by the United Veterans of
Fostoria.
Immediately following the graveside service there will be a bereavement luncheon at the Church of the
Good Shepherd in Fostoria, Ohio.
Memorial donations may be made to the Bridge Home Health and Hospice in Bowling Green, Ohio.
