Robert Dallas Karn, age 74, of Findlay, died at 1:18 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Blanchard Valley
Hospital.
He was born on July 27, 1939 in Vanlue, Ohio to the late Albert I. and Lela (Reynolds) Karn. On December
19, 1973, he married Joyce Miller and she survives.
Also surviving is a son: Todd (Buffy) Karn of Findlay and five daughters: Teresa (P.J.) Walters of
Findlay, Lisa (David) Shively of Findlay, Roberta (Michael) Walters of Troy, Ohio, Bonnie Woodyard of
Grand Rapids, Mich., and Carol (Jim) Graham of Cygnet. Bob has 26 grandchildren and 12
great-grandchildren. He also has a brother: Dick (Pam) Karn of Lambertville, Michigan, and two sisters:
Beverly Dow of Findlay and Linda Dindal of Findlay.
He was preceded in death by a son: Rodney (Rocky) Karn, a great-grandchild and two sisters: Patricia
Morgart and Marilyn Culver.
He retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Company after 42 years. He had worked for 22 years in the Cooper
Warehouse in Rossford and 20 years at the plant in Findlay.
Bob enjoyed bowling, having been the past secretary of the Findlay Bowling Association. He was a member
of the Cooper Charters Golf League and the United Steel Workers Local #207L.
He enjoyed woodworking. In the 1970s, he ran the Sohio station at the corner of Blanchard and Main Cross
in Findlay. He had also worked for Bob’s Floor Covering, the Mid Wood Elevator in Cygnet and in
maintenance at Birch Run Golf Course in North Baltimore.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2014 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME,
Findlay, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Pastor Douglas Cooper will
officiate. Interment will follow at Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay.
