Richard Plummer, 70, of Portage, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013.
He was born in Marion, Indiana to the late Ralph and Vera (Carter) Plummer. Richard married Georganna Barton on October 7, 2005 and she survives in Portage.
Also surviving are his children: Rick (Shannon) Plummer of Delphi, Indiana, Dave Plummer of Churchill, Tennessee, Patrick Barton of Tiffin, Ohio, Paul (Becky) Barton of Wayne, Ohio and Wendy (Jeff) Zuhlsdorf of Bowling Green; his ex-wife and friend Clara Roberts of Rossville, Indiana; brother Carry (Sandy) Plummer of New Castle, Indiana; grandchildren: Leslie, Brandi, Alicia, Jessica, Madelyn, Cole and Addyson; great-grandchildren: Kyle, Trayven and Aston; his mother-in-law Donna Rahm, and special friends: Shana, PJ and family.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Rex and a sister, Rita.
Richard enjoyed fishing, especially at Hickory Acres Campground and also enjoyed camping and going to the casino. Richard was a family man; he loved spending time with his children and his grandchildren. He and Georganna watched children who are near and dear to his heart and kept him going.
Visitation for Richard will be on Monday May 13, 2013 from 4 until the time of his funeral service at 7 p.m. in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster St., Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
Memorial contributions may be made in Richard's honor to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004.
