Loving father and grandfather, Richard J. Minarcin, age 76 of Rossford, Ohio passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center after a short illness.
He was born in Toledo to John J. Jr. and Mary Ann (Bilkovic) Minarcin on September 17, 1936.
Dick attended Good Shepherd Elementary School, Central Catholic High School and Olney High School, graduating in 1954 where he was named All Wood County in Basketball and Track.
Dick married Janice Croak on September 8, 1956 and she survives.
He was employed with the Libbey Owens Ford Glass Plant in Rossford and retired after 32 years. After retiring he worked part-time for Erie Steel Heat Treating for 17 years.
Dick was a member of the Harbor View Yacht Club where he served as Commodore in 1996.
Surviving are his children, Richard Jr. (Joy) Minarcin, Annette Minarcin, Jennifer (Geoff) Minarcin and David (Lesly) Minarcin; grandchildren, Sierra, Andrew, Rachel and Dakota Minarcin; and brother, John J. III "Jack" Minarcin.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Nancy Ann Gospodarek.
At the request of Dick there will be no visitation and services will be private.
Arrangements are being handled by the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford.
