Richard Merle Bumpus Jr.

Richard Merle Bumpus Jr. transitioned peacefully with his family by his side, at Hospice of Northwest
Ohio of Perrysburg, Thursday morning the 19th of June.
Richard called his home in Custar Ohio.
Our family was blessed with our Most Precious Gift on December the 15th 1950, to Richard and Ada Rose
(Jones) Bumpus. Anyone who knew Richard, loved and admired his LOVE of LIFE and his most famous sayings
"Lets go get a cup of coffee"… and let’s go for it!
In 2005 Richard met his Soul Mate and life partner Marilyn Todd. She survives in Bowling Green.
Richard was retired from employment from the late Eugene Adler (Coop) Auctioneer. Richard would talk
fondly of the Adler Family, of his time driving tractors on their farms or lunch with Coop at the Custar
Tavern. As of the last few years Richard shared employment at Laser Cartridge Express, he dearly loved
his boss Caroline.
In his spare time he enjoyed Big Boy and The Waffle house, and riding his bike. He loved spending time
with family and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by Richard and Ada Bumpus and his brother, James.
Surviving are his brothers John (Mary), Keith (Penny), Elwood (Sara), Clifford (Laurie), Rosemarie
(Mark), and Shirley Snyder. Also surviving are 14 nieces and nephews and 21 great-nieces and nephews and
his faithful companion Murray Bumpus (aka) his dog for which Richard referred as his "SON."

Richard generously donated his body to science to further education.
A Celebration of Life will be performed at the Victory Chapel Fellowship, Union Street, Cygnet Ohio, at
11 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, with a luncheon to follow at Bloomdale Community Building, 402 South Main
Street.
