Rev. Robert Jesse French II, of Cedar City, Utah, went to be with his Lord on May 22, 2013, surrounded by his wife, children, siblings and father.
He was born on June 28, 1953, to Robert J. and Mary Ann (Dougherty) French.
Bob was a member of the 1971 graduating class of Lakota High School. After high school he joined I.W. Local 55 of Toledo.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, where he attained the rate of MM 1st class.
After leaving the Navy, Bob was employed by AEPCO, in Cochise, Arizona, and while there was called by God to full time ministry. Bob was ordained in Safford, Arizona, and for the last 10 years served as Senior Pastor of Mountainview Baptist Church in Cedar City, Utah.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Engle); daughters Tobi Jo (Preston) Hancock, Jamie Lee East, Sara Danielle Dornan, and Amanda Jean (Eddy) Dominguez. Also surviving are his father, Robert J. French; brother, Kevin (Anne) French; sisters Kathleen (Larry) Waelde, Valerie (Steve) Culpepper and Wendy (Dennis) Laycock; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann French and grandparents, Jesse and Elsie French.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 24, 2013 in Cedar City, Utah.
Bob will be greatly missed by his wife, family, parishioners and his many friends.
