Rev. John T. Snyder, 74, of Bowling Green, passed away Monday, July 1, 2013 in Bowling Green.
He was born May 20, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to Andrew and Virginia (Kyle) Snyder. He married Virginia Taylor on September 24, 1960 and she preceded him in death in September of 2000.
He was currently a member of the First Baptist Church in Bowling Green. He spent time spreading his ministry in many Ohio and Michigan churches. John was former treasurer of the Detroit Baptist Association and a charter member of the Perrysburg Lions Club, where he served as chaplain. He was also involved in inventory management at BGSU.
John is survived by his son, Bill (Sarah), of Bowling Green, Ohio, daughter, Sue (Rod) Thomas, of Carleton, Michigan, brother, Jim, of Ypsilanti, Michigan, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at DUNN FUNERAL HOME located in the Historical District of Bowling Green, Ohio at 408 W. Wooster St. Rev. Brian Southerland will officiate. Burial will be in Wood County Memory Gardens.
Public visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until service time at DUNN FUNERAL HOME.
