Rebecca Ann (Wight) Adams of Portage, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 25, 2013
in the loving arms of her husband, David Adams.She was born in Bowling Green, Ohio on November 11, 1948 to
Leonard and Charlotte Wight and graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1966.She married the love of her
life, David L. Adams on July 8, 1968.Becky was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Wight and a brother,
Jeff Wight.Surviving is her mother, Charlotte (Milstead) Wight, Bowling Green; siblings: Rick (Toshiko)
Wight, Walpahu, Hawaii; and Cindy (Boyd) Bryant, Cleveland, Tennessee. Also surviving are David Adams, her
husband of 45 years; son, James (Karen) Adams, Perrysburg, Ohio; and daughter, Jennifer (Todd) Brown,
Portage, Ohio; six grandchildren; Mariah and Carter Adams; Alec, Blaine, Clayton and Eli Brown.Becky worked
for Bowling Green City Schools as the secretary for the Superintendant for 32 years before retiring in 2010.
She had a strong affinity for the school system as well as the many administrative and faculty members with
whom she worked.She was also an active member of Rudolph Christian Church where she belonged to the
Christian Women’s Fellowship and Women’s Octet, in addition to being an editor of the church newspaper.Her
family was her worldly passion. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, including multiple trips to Hawaii
and Florida and destinations in between. She also enjoyed the outdoors and would spend considerable time at
the family cabin in Pennsylvania, walking the trails, canoeing and picking wild blueberries.Her
grandchildren were also paramount in her life as she seldom missed an opportunity to watch them perform,
either in dance, music or athletics. She was their biggest fan and supporter.In her spare time she enjoyed
baking, especially cookies and homemade pies which were often shared with family and friends.Visitation for
Rebecca will be held on Monday December 30, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL
HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster St., P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.Rebecca’s funeral
service will be held on Tuesday December 31, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the Rudolph Christian Church, 13868
Mermill Rd, Rudolph, Ohio 43462. Burial will be follow in the Sergant Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be
gifted in Rebecca’s honor to either the church or to Hospice of Northwest Ohio 30000 E. River Rd.,
