Petra (Treviño) Castro, 65, of Weston, Ohio, passed away Wednesday morning, May 21, 2014.
Petra was born in Pharr, Texas to the late Jose and Maria (Garcia) Treviño. She was the eldest daughter
and the sixth child of 19 children. She married Pablo Castro Jr., and he survives in Weston, Ohio.
Also surviving are her sons: Pablo A. (Summer) Castro, III, Esq., of Broadview Hts., Ohio and Daniel
(Tracy) Castro of Bowling Green, Ohio; grandchildren: Winter, Pablo “Pito” IV, Sofia, Jai’Lyn, Daniel,
Phoenix, Allyiah, Calissa, Caleb and Jacob; sisters: Maria Ybañes of Weston, Juanita (Raynaldo) Ybañes
of Bowling Green, Felicitas (Brady) Jackson of Holland, Ohio, Teresa Treviño of St. Petersburg, Florida,
Maria Guadalupe Treviño of San Antonio, Texas and Martiña Treviño of Sandusky, Ohio; 10 brothers: Jesus
Treviño of West Laco, Texas, Anacleto Treviño of Weston, Jose (Gloria) Treviño Jr. of San Antonio,
Texas,
Guadalupe Treviño of St. Petersburg, Florida, Pedro (Evelyn) Treviño of St. Petersburg, Florida, Juan
(Andrea) Treviño of Comverse, Texas, Joaquin (Mary) Treviño of North Baltimore, Ohio, Francisco
(Rosenda) Treviño of San Antonio, Texas, Martin Treviño of Weston, Ohio and Miguel (Tammy) Treviño of
McClure, Ohio.
Petra retired from the Custodial Department at Bowling Green State University after 30 years, and was a
member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Petra enjoyed baking, and was renown for her desserts. She was at peace while gardening. She enjoyed
shopping and buying gifts others and especially the less fortunate. She was an avid collector of
antiques and other collectables. She was fascinated with lighthouses and religious art. Petra was very
spiritual in faith and kept everyone in line. Many of her siblings consider her to be like if not their
own mother.
Visitation for Petra will be on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME

& CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster St., Bowling Green, Ohio 43402, where a Rosary Service will be held
at 7 p.m.
Petra’s
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church,
150 S. Enterprise Rd., Bowling Green.
Burial will follow in the St. Rose Cemetery, Perrysburg.
Memorial contributions in Petra’s honor can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 23215 Commerce Park
Drive, Beachwood, OH 44122.
