Oscar-Retterer-ObitOscar J. "Skip" Retterer III passed away January 16, 2013 at his home in Lititz, Pennsylvania, surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in Bowling Green, Oscar was the husband of Celeste A. DiMarco and the son of Virginia (Castanien) Retterer of Bowling Green and the late Oscar J. Retterer Jr.
After graduating from Bowling Green High School in 1973, Oscar attended Bowling Green State University. He spent two years studying in Salzburg, Austria and received a Master's Degree in German from BGSU as well as a Doctorate in Educational Technology from the University of Toledo.
For the past 20 years, he was employed by Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania as the Director of Instructional and Emerging Technologies.

He simply asked that his friends and family remember him as he was - with a twinkle in his eye and a big smile. He will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Prion Disease Pathology Surveillance Center, Case Western Reserve University, 2085 Adelbert Road, Room 419, Cleveland, OH 44106-4907.
