Norma E. Russell, age 93, formerly of Luckey, OH most recently of Bowling Green, OH, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Heritage Corner Health Care, Bowling Green.
She was born on January 11, 1920 in Luckey, OH, to Herman and Ada (Caris) Jacobs. On April 24, 1946 she married George A. Russell in Luckey, OH and he preceded her in death on October 15, 2007.
Norma was a homemaker and had also worked as a telephone operator for several years.
She was a former member of Zion United Methodist Church, and then attended Faith United Methodist Church, both of Luckey, OH.
Norma is survived by her daughters: Jane (Stephen) Foraker Sr. of Bowling Green, OH, Linda (John) Welsch of Camp Verde, AZ, sister-in-law: Ruth Jacobs of Walbridge, OH, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: George, sisters: Violet Blandin, Virginia "Ginny" Marsh, brothers: Raymond, Lester and Frank Jacobs.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Home, 110 Main Street, Luckey, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 11 a.m. from Faith United Methodist Church, Luckey, OH with additional visitation from 10 a.m. until time of services. Officiating will be Rev. Peter Johnston. Interment will be in Troy Twp. Cemetery, Luckey, OH.
There will be a bereavement luncheon served at the church immediately following the cemetery committal services.
Considerations for memorial contributions are to: Cherry Street Mission, Salvation Army or the charity of the donor's choice.
