Nancy Kay Stozich

Nancy Kay Stozich, 74, of Findlay, passed away at 4:54 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Bridge
Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
She was born on June 9, 1939, to the late John E. and Delores L. (Hauman) Steinman in Findlay. She
married John P. Stozich, and he preceded her in death.
Nancy is survived by her son, Michael Brobst of Findlay; daughter, Sheryl (Robert) Yoder of Forest;
stepson, John (Vicky) Stozich of Findlay; stepdaughters: Judy (Mark) Scrimshaw of Findlay and Francie
(Paul) Ash of MI; brother, Ronald L. Steinman of Wayne; many grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Also
surviving are Aunt Jeannie and Uncle Bob Houser, of Findlay, whom she had loved dearly. Describing her
happiest times growing up babysitting her cousins Sandra Caudle and Marilyn Moore of Findlay.
Nancy graduated from Findlay High School in 1957; earned a bachelor of arts in education from Findlay
College with additional classes at B.G.S.U. and the University of Toledo. Her teaching certificate in
secondary education English was followed by teaching at Arlington School 1970-1971, Donnell Jr. High
School 1971-1974 and Findlay High School 1975-1995.
She loved playing Bingo at The Heritage and dining out and celebrating the lives of her family and
friends.
Nancy served three years as secretary for the Blanchard Valley School PTA, six years on the Hancock
County Board of MRDD, one term on the Open Arms Board, volunteered for March of Dimes, and served five
years as chairperson for the F.H.S. academic awards banquet.
The family also wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of The Heritage staff, because your
wonderful care and laughter made her life complete until the very end.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at KIRKPATRICK-BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME.

The Rosary Alter Society of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church will begin praying the rosary for
Nancy at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. on
Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Bright Rd., with Rev. Msgr.
Michael Hohenbrink as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Findlay.
Memorials may be made to the John P. Stozich Scholarship Fund in care of The Findlay Hancock County
Community Foundation.
