Dawg" Gudakunst Sr.

Michael J. "Mad Dawg" Gudakunst Sr., age 67, of Bradner, Ohio, passed away peacefully on
Thursday (April 17, 2014) at his home.
He was born on January 6, 1947 in Hillsdale, Michigan to the late Harold E. Gudakunst and Audrey (McLain)
Gudakunst Cluckey. He married Marcine A. Lewandowski on January 30, 1971 in Toledo, Ohio.
Surviving are his loving wife of 43 years Marcine; daughter, Tammy Maran of Toledo, Ohio; sons, Michael
J. (Jenny) Gudakunst II of Pemberville, Ohio, Harold J. (Heidi) Gudakunst of Bowling Green, Ohio;
sisters, Carolyn (Dave) Dybala, Kay (John) Emenegger both of Toledo, Ohio; half brother, Jerry Lee
Cluckey of Dearing, Georgia; grandchildren, Kenny Maran II, Brandon Maran, Luke Lacusky, Anna and Joey
Gudakunst; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and half brother, Keith Cluckey.
Mike served his country proudly in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
He then worked for the Ford Stamping Plant in Maumee, Ohio retiring in 2007.
He was a member of the Albert Bowe American Legion Post #338 in Bradner, Ohio and the Ford Retiree UAW
Local #1892.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 Wednesday (April 23, 2014) at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio,
where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday (April 24, 2014) with Pastor Ron
Merritt officiating.
Burial will be in Bradner Cemetery with Military Rites performed by the Albert Bowe American Legion.
A bereavement luncheon will immediately follow committal services at the Albert Bowe American Legion
Hall.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, Ohio.
