Michael Alan Black, 61, of Whitehouse, Ohio, died October 28, 2013, after a 10-year struggle with MS, at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee, OH.
He was born March 24, 1952 in Findlay, Ohio to James and Mary (Philpott) Black.
Michael retired from AAA in 2003, where he worked as a drivers ed instructor.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Black of Perrysburg, OH; children, Carrie (Mike Hill) Black of Waterville, OH, Mike (Miriam) Black of Whitehouse, OH, and Taylor Black of Newark, OH; grandchildren, Morgan, Sydney, Lilly and Will; and siblings, Phil (Belinda) Black, Kathy (David) Cooper, Beth Robertson, and Jim Black.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 1, 2013 from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home in Whitehouse, OH. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral Home. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ada, OH.
Memorial contributions can be given to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Northwest Ohio Chapter, 401 Tomahawk Dr., Maumee, OH 43537.
