Meredith V. McAninch, 99, of Bowling Green, Ohio, died Friday, June 6, 2014 in Bowling Green.
She was born May 26, 1915 in Greentown, Ind. to Glen and Edith (Armstrong) Lee. She married Roy McAninch
on April 8, 1933 and he preceded her in death in 1984.
Meredith worked in the family business for many years, as the friendly receptionist at Knickerbocker
Building Services in Bowling Green.
She loved crocheting, crossword and jigsaw puzzles and attending the many sporting events her
grandchildren and great-grandchildren participated in, especially baseball games at BG Carter Park and
hockey at the BGSU Ice Arena.
She is survived by her son, Keith (Mary) of Burlington, Ind., grandchildren, Kirk (Kim) McAninch, Angie
(Brian) Plutat, Kyle McAninch, Denise (Terry) Murphy,
Karen McMally, Michael (Elizabeth) Messenger, Steven (Jill) Messenger, Timothy Messenger, Jeffrey (Nancy)
Messenger, Todd and Cynthia Messenger, 22 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by daughters, Virginia Rosselot and Patty Ann Messenger, and a brother, Robert
E. Lee.
Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the DUNN FUNERAL HOME,
located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the HASLER-STOUT
FUNERAL HOME 112 E. Main St. Greentown, Ind. 46936. Rev. Dave Osborne will officiate.
Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery.
Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1 until the service time at the funeral home in
Greentown.
Memorial contributions may be given in Meredith’s memory to the BG Bobcat Hockey Alumni Association, in
