Melba Mae Thurman, 84, of Weston, Ohio, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013.
She was born August 7, 1928 to the late Edward and Inis Patterson-Counselman. She married Donald Thurman on January 26, 1946.
Melba was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She also enjoyed traveling with family, crocheting, county fairs and bingo.
She is survived by her husband: Donald; daughters: LaDonna Lashuay. Sharon (Jim) Anderson, Diane (Michael) Bruno; grandchildren: Todd Anderson, Jennifer Anderson, Brandon Bruno, Melissa Bruno; great-grandchildren: Brayden Anderson, Nevaeh Anderson, and Dawn Michalski.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Richard; grandchildren: Kay Michalski, Tammi Lashuay, Tanya Lashuay; three sisters and two brothers.
Friends and family will be received at the Wright-Habegger Funeral Home, 24084 West 2nd St., Grand Rapids OH , 43522, on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral Services and burial will follow at Weston Cemetery, Weston, OH.
Memorial contributions in Melba's honor may be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or to the donor's choice.
