Obituary-Photo-EndresMaureen D. Endres, 71, of Bowling Green, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013.
Maureen was born in Rockville Center, New York to the late Joseph and Isabelle (Mack) Doyle and grew up on Long Island in Mattituck, New York.
She is survived by her husband, Paul, who she married in 1966; they moved to Bowling Green in 1969.
Also surviving are her sisters: Isabelle of Somerset, New Jersey and Shelia of Alexandria, Virginia; brothers: Kevin of Parump, Utah and Dennis of Woodbridge, Virginia.
Maureen graduated from the University of Rochester and obtained a Master of Library Science and a Master of Business Administration from Bowling Green State University. Maureen also enrolled in the doctoral program in Interpersonal Relations at Bowling Green State University.
She worked for many years as a reference librarian at the University of Toledo and at Bloomsburg State University.
Maureen was politically active with the Democratic part and was an active supporter and campaigner for the Equal Rights Amendment. She took pride in participating in the study trip to Iceland to interview members of the ruling women's party. Maureen also enjoyed cooking, traveling and bird watching especially spring warblers.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wood County Public Library.
Services will be private.
