OTTAWA - Matilda C. "Tillie" Martinez, 69, of Ottawa, died at 10:42 a.m. Friday, February 22, 2013 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born July 15, 1943 in Custar to the late Andres and Eloisa (Torres) Costilla. She is survived by five children: Luciano "Lucho" (Maria) Martinez of Hamler, Adam (Beth) Martinez of Ottawa, Andrea Camereno of Leipsic, Sonya (Rene) Flores of Leipsic, and Ted (Deb) Martinez, Jr., of Defiance; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 brother: Frank "Macey" (Alice) Costilla of Milton Center; and 5 sisters: Rosie (Manuel) Martinez of Napoleon, Angelina Cremar of Bowling Green, Adelina (Ernie) Villereal, Alma (Zeke) Varella, and Rita (Trinidad) Serrato all of Weston. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Rudy Powell and Irene Flores. Tillie was retired from Campbell Soups in Napoleon. She enjoyed cooking and baking and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic, with Rev. Chris Riffle officiating. Burial will follow in Grelton Cemetery, Henry County. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at: www.lovefuneralhome.com.
