Mary Charchol, 93, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed from this life on October 21, 2011 at Bowling Green
Manor.
Mary
was born February 26, 1918, in Bowling Green, to the late Russell and
Florence Smith. She married John Charchol on June 16, 1934. They lived
in Bowling Green until 1973, when they moved to Florida after John
retired. After John’s death in 1986, Mary returned to Bowling Green.
Mary
is survived by her three children Gloria Crom, of Bowling Green, Ohio;
Jack (Peggy) Charchol, of Ava, MO and Rick Charchol, of Bowling Green,
Ohio; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great
grandchildren; a sister: Donna Thomas of Bowling Green, and special
friends Jason Slough and Lucy Mason. She was preceded in death by a
sister, Marg Merry and two great-granddaughters: Cathy Weymer and
Natalie Charchol.
Mary
was a homemaker all her life and loved to sew. She won several ribbons
at the fair for her handmade dolls, pillows and quilts. Mary was also a
great cook and an avid bowler, but she always said her family was the
most important thing to her.
She was a member of the St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Toledo.
Visitation will be Monday, October 24, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL
HOME & CREMATORY,
1460 W. Wooster St., PO Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402; Tele:
419/352-2171. The Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October
25, 2011 in the DECK-HANNEMAN REMEMBRANCE CHAPEL with Pastor Martin
Billmeier officiating. Burial will be in Wood County Memory Gardens.

lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions may be made to the
St. Lucas Lutheran Church, 745 Walbridge Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43609 or
to Hospice of Northwest Ohio
