Martha A. Sweebe, 93, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Bowling Green, OH, died on April 1, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Harvest United Methodist Church, Lakewood Ranch, FL, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to service time. Interment will be private in Wingston, Ohio.
Martha was born to Alverdo and Muriel (Murphy) Johnson in Hicksville, OH. She received her B.S. Degree in Nursing from Toledo Hospital in Toledo, OH and worked as a Registered Nurse in Wood County, Ohio.
She was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Sarasota and was a former volunteer with Resurrection House and Helping Hands Food Bank of Englewood, FL. She enjoyed playing cards and had a great passion for life.
Preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Clarence in 1992.
She is survived by her children, Donna Schuerman of Pemberville, OH, Richard “Dick” (Bobbi-Jo) Sweebe of Memphis, TN and Amy (Kevin) Reasor of Sarasota, FL; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to All Faiths Food Bank or Resurrection House in Martha’s memory.
