Marilyn A. Carles, 74, of North Baltimore, died at 2:10 a.m. Thursday, October 17, 2013, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Bowling Green.
She was born on May 15, 1939, in Big Fork, MN, to the late William and Helen (Boyle) Dickerson. She married James Carles Sr. on October 16, 1964, and he survives.
Marilyn is also survived by her daughter, Ginny (Terry) Brashear; her sons: Jerry Root, James Carles Jr., and Joe Carles; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Tim Root.
Marilyn had worked for the Budd Company as well as Abco.
She was the president of the North Baltimore Food Assistance Program for 38 years. She was an avid bingo player, and would always go above and beyond to help anyone at any time.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 21, 2013, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, with Pastor George Loper officiating. Burial will be in Rudolph Cemetery, Liberty Township.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.
Memorial contributions may be made to the North Baltimore Food Assistance Program.
