Margaret A. "Peg" Gregory, 85, of Maris Grove Retirement Community, Glen Mills, PA, died
Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Riddle Hospital in Media, PA.She was the wife of John C. "Jack" Gregory.
Together they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last June 21, 2012.Born in Dover, DE, she was the
daughter of the late A. Raig and Helen (Starling) Peacock.Peg was an elementary school teacher in Rhode
Island and Delaware, and she substituted in Bowling Green School District in Bowling Green, OH, and also in
Pennsylvania, retiring in 1984. She served on various boards and committees while at East Stroudsburg
University and also during their time in Bowling Green, OH.She was a former Eucharistic minister in Newark,
DE, and a long time volunteer committee member with the Delaware Foundation Reaching Citizens with
Intellectual Disabilities.Peg was an active member of the Maris Grove Retirement Community. She was a member
of St. Cornelius Roman Catholic Church, Chadds Ford, PA.There was never a friendlier person. Those who knew
her will long remember her ever-smiling face and pleasant, friendly demeanor. She loved teaching, and was a
favorite among her students. To her two sons and her husband of 60 years, she will be impossible to replace,
and will be dearly missed.She is survived by her husband John C. "Jack" Gregory and two sons, John
C. Gregory, Jr. and wife Marlou of Valley Forge, PA; Bruce L. Gregory and wife Tracy of Myrtle Beach, SC;
and two grandchildren, Megan and Brian.Arrangements are being handled by the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119
Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 7 p.m. to 9
p.m. at the Maris Grove Retirement Community Chapel, 200 Maris Grove Way, Glen Mills, PA 19342.Mass of
Christian Burial is Friday, March 8, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Cornelius Roman Catholic Church, 160 Ridge Road,
Chadds Ford, PA. Interment to follow at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Springfield,
