Nollenberger-Obit-PhotoMabel P. (Hasty) Nollenberger, age 95, of Pemberville, OH, passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters at Otterbein-Portage Valley Retirement Village, Pemberville, OH, on Sunday morning, May 23, 2010.
She was born October 4, 1914 in Hartford City, IN, to Frank and Norah (Gunkel) Hasty. Mabel was raised in Toledo, OH where she met and married Roy Nollenberger on October 8, 1932. Roy preceded her in death on April 10, 2002, after 69 years of marriage.
Over the years Mabel was employed as a cook at Eastwood Schools, retail sales at the BGSU bookstore and later at the bookstore at Penta County School.
In her spare time she enjoyed crafts, especially crocheting items which she gave away to many individuals and organizations.

Mabel was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Stony Ridge, OH.
Mabel is survived by her daughters: Nancy Schneck of Pandora, OH, Judie (Rod) Irwin of Gainesville, FL, Betty (Richard) Bahnsen of Perrysburg, OH; seven grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Roy, brother: Eugene, son-in-Law: Don Schneck and granddaughter: Kelly Abke.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Home, 110 Main Street, Luckey, OH, where a celebration of her life will be conducted on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Daniel Beaudion. Interment will be in Troy Township Cemetery, Luckey, OH. There will be a bereavement luncheon served at St. John's Lutheran Church immediately following the cemetery committal services.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. John's Lutheran Church, Otterbein-Portage Valley Retirement Village, Hospice of Northwest Ohio or a Charity of the Donor's Choice.
