Linda S. Beeker, age 61, of Pemberville, OH passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013, at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, OH.
She was born on May 2, 1952 in Bowling Green, OH to Robert (Red) and Carol (Samson) Beeker.
After graduating from Eastwood High School in 1970 she attended Capital University, Columbus, OH and received her Bachelor's Degree in teaching.
Linda was a Reading Specialist Teacher for 30 years. She started her teaching career at Columbus School for Girls for two years then moved back to Pemberville in order to be closer to family and friends. For the next 28 years she taught in Fremont, OH at Stamm Elementary School for 23 years then at Croghan Elementary School for five years.
After retiring from teaching, Linda worked part-time at the Pemberville Pharmacy and substituted for the church secretary. Linda was a wonderful teacher who loved all children, especially her students and two daughters.
She loved to cook, bake and was always taking food to others who were ill or just needed a visit. She was always ready to help, whether it was family, friends, neighbors or someone she knew that needed her assistance. She volunteered anywhere she was needed and loved visiting the sick, older people and shut-ins. Next to her family and friends, Linda loved reading, music and her church.
Her memberships included: Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Pemberville, OH, Sunday school teacher, church council member, church choir, the former Miriam Circle, and director of the church hand bell choir. Other memberships included:  NAMI, Pemberville Friends of the Library and member of the Pemberville Historical Society where she served on their board.
Linda is survived by her Loves of Her Life - daughters: Emily Beeker, Allison (Dan) Lamb, both of Bowling Green, granddaughter: McKenzie Lamb and future grandchild due in October; parents: Robert (Red) and Carol Beeker of Pemberville; sister: Deborah (Bob) Frakes of Bowling Green; niece: Lisa (Pat) Carney of Bowling Green; nephews: Matt (Melissa) Frakes of Lakewood, OH, Ryan Frakes of Perrysburg; grandnieces: Madison and Lauren Carney and grandnephew: Shawn Carney, all of Bowling Green.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, June 10, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. from Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Pemberville, where there will be additional visitation from 10 .am. until service time. Officiating will be Rev. Matthew Musteric. Interment will be in Pemberville Cemetery, Pemberville, OH.
There will be a bereavement luncheon served at the church immediately following the cemetery committal services.
