Leroy Chamberlain, age 82, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away on December 24, 2013 at Wood Haven
Health Care Center.Leroywas born July 18, 1931 in Rudolph, Ohio to the late Frank Alfred andHazel (Reese)
Chamberlain. He was the fourth of six children and thelast to leave his mother’s nest at the ripe age of 31
when he wedMargaret (Newlove) on September 3, 1962.Leroy maintained a veryclose relationship with his mother
and enjoyed daily lunches at herRudolph home until her death in 1978.After graduation from LibertyHigh
School in 1949, Leroy served his country in the United States Armyfor two years. He was stationed in Korea
during the war. He served as acook and often enjoyed recounting tales of serving food for up to 500soldiers
per day.Upon discharge from the Army, Leroy returned hometo Rudolph, Ohio and began his 42-year employment
with Liberty Grain andMid-Wood. Leroy was also a Liberty Township trustee for 20 years.Shortlyafter
retirement, Leroy embarked on his most cherished role in workingfor his brother-in-law at Joe Newlove Realty
and Auctions (Wauseon, OH)in the "geriatric service division." He performed a variety of odd
jobs,but most importantly, relished the camaraderie of their crew. Leroyalso enjoyed his work for Al Newlove
Realty in Bowling Green where heset-up and retrieved "for sale" signs.Leroy was a member of the
Portage Center Arbor Gleaners #542.Heenjoyed playing cards, watching sporting events and always loved a
goodjoke. In younger years, he participated in bowling leagues and westernsquare dancing. Leroy’s two
grandchildren, Lillian (10) and Max (6) werehis pride and joy and provided him with companionship
andentertainment.In May of 2013 Leroy was chosen and participated in Honor Flight of Northwestern Ohio.Leroy
was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Lloyd and Lyle Chamberlain.Survivingare his loving wife
of 52 years, Margaret Chamberlain; son, Mark(Cammi) Chamberlain of Bowling Green; daughter Michele
Chamberlain ofCharleston, SC; grandchildren Lillian and Maxwell Chamberlain; brother,Glen (Cecilia) of
Bowling Green; sisters, Janet (Richard – deceased)Swarms of Wayne, Pauline (Walter -deceased) Heilmann of
Whitehouse;sister-in-laws, Betty (Lloyd – deceased) Chamberlain of Wayne, Doris(Lyle -deceased) Chamberlain
of Wayne, numerous nieces and nephews aswell as countless friends.A Celebration of Life Service will be
heldon Monday, December 30, 2013 at 2 p.m. at DUNN FUNERAL HOME, located inthe Historical District of
Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster Street.Inlieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made
