Leo Strausbaugh, 91, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013.
Leo was born in Bairdstown, Ohio, to the late Elman and Hattie (Reiter) Strausbaugh. He married Eleta (Baker) Strausbaugh on October 27, 1945 in Fostoria, Ohio and she survives him in Bowling Green.
Along with his wife Eleta, Leo is survived by a daughter: Karen (Thomas) Rowe, of Britton, Michigan; sons: Randall (Julie) Strausbaugh, of Bowling Green; Thomas (Pamela) Strausbaugh, of Pemberville, Ohio; brothers: Arnold Strausbaugh, of St. Paris, Ohio; George Strausbaugh of Bowling Green; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Along with his parents, Leo was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Leo attended Liberty High School and then went on to work as an Electrician for the Local 8. Leo was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Leo enjoyed fishing, boating, dancing and playing cards.
Visitation for Leo will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster St., PO Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio Tele: (419)352-2171. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 150 South Enterprise Street, Bowling Green, Ohio. Interment will follow in the Pemberville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be gifted in Leo's honor to Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 333 N. Summit Street, Toledo, Ohio 43604.
The Strausbaugh family would like to thank the staff at Heartland Hospice and the Sterling House of Bowling for their support and excellent care of Leo.
