L. June Curry McKinley went home at 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013 at the home of her daughter, Rhonda Curry Shrider, Bryan, Ohio, after an extended illness.
She was born to George and Alta Pickering of Maumee, Ohio on March 11, 1926.
She was preceded in death by a son, Randy J Curry, a brother and four sisters.
Her remaining siblings are Donald Pickering and Robert Pickering.
She was married to J. Edward Curry on Aug. 24, 1943, who has preceded her in death Nov. 6, 2002. She was then married to Richard McKinley on Feb.1, 2006.
He resides at Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky,
Her children are Ronald J. Curry of Bluffton, Ohio, Richard L. Curry of McClure, Ohio, Rhonda S. Shrider of Bryan, Ohio and Ronette Cheney of Upper Sandusky, Ohio. The extended family is made up of 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was a foster parent in Wood County to 30 children, owned and ran The Curry Shopette in Weston, Ohio, worked in retail at J. C. Penney in Bowling Green, Ohio, as well as The Moppette Shop in Waterville, Ohio.
She was a member of The First Presbyterian Church in Bryan, Ohio, where her memorial service will be held on Aug. 24, 2013 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Barry Sweet residing.
