Keith A. Pogan Sr., 76, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 with his loving family at his side.
He was born November 2, 1936 in Lorain, Ohio, to Charles and Frances (Moehle) Pogan. He married Sharon (Book) on December 22, 1955 and she survives in Bowling Green.
Keith was the director of maintenance at BGSU for many years, retiring in 2001. He was a Untied States Navy Veteran and served as a Bowling Green auxiliary policeman.
He was an avid Falcon and Bobcat hockey fan and was a goal judge for many years for both programs. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bowling Green where he formerly served as a deacon.
Along with his wife of 57 years, Sharon, he is also survived by sons, Keith (Skip) (Andrea) of Perrysburg, Ohio, Brett Sr. (Juanita), of Bowling Green, Ohio, Darin (Carey) of Grand Rapids, Ohio, daughter, Michelle (Brent) of Rockford, Illinois, 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and special niece, Bobbi Book of Bowling Green and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Nelson, and sister, Barbara Johnston.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, 749 South Wintergarden Road, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402, at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Tom Mullins will officiate. The family will receive friends starting at 9:30 a.m. until service time.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the BGSU Falcon Hockey Program or First Baptist Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to DUNN FUNERAL HOME, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St.
