MarshK-obitLoving Mother and cherished wife, Karen Lynette Marsh passed away August 7, 2012.
On November 28th 1992, she married Robert Marsh her loving husband and best friend.
Karen was born on November 24th, 1958, survived by her parents Wayne and Dolly Smith of New Riegel, OH.
Left to cherish in memory are her children, Season Marsh of Wayne, OH; Amanda Mizen of Hilton Head, SC; Jacob Mizen of Findlay, OH; Andrew Marsh of Bowling Green, OH; Kali Mizen of Fostoria, OH; and Trey Marsh of Fostoria, OH. The grandchildren include Jasmine, Paige and Alaina Marsh (fondly named Lu Lu) of Wayne, OH. Also cherishing her memory is former foreign exchange student, Juliana Gongora of Bogot√°, Colombia. Deeply missed by her siblings; Michelle Smith of Rainelle, WV; Gary (Judy) Smith of New Riegel, OH; Amy Johnson of Adrian, OH; Tonya (Daniel) Reinhart of New Riegel, OH; Shannon (Rod) Williams of Alvada, OH; and 11 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her brother Ricky Michael Smith and grandson Lake Allen Marsh.
Karen and her brother Gary Smith carried on the family business Smith Classic Machine, Inc. located in New Riegel, OH since 1988. She was also a successful business manager for Marsh & Sons Concrete Inc. of Bowling Green, OH established in 1993.
Karen was a member and a PRE instructor at St. Wendelin Catholic Church of Fostoria, and a member of Royal Moose order in New Riegel #872.
Besides being the "The Best Titan" baseball mom ever, she also took care of the books for the team. Karen was an avid gardener, savvy card player, enjoyed playing volleyball and bowling with Jack, loved dancing and was a faithful NASCAR fan.
Her home away from home was at the Maumee River spending time with family and friends while boating on her pontoon listening to music. Not only was Karen a dedicated wife and mother, thoughtful daughter, beloved sister, but also a loyal and caring friend to many.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria, OH on Thursday, August 9th from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. In celebration of Karen's life, the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria, OH; immediately following, lunch will be served at a facility/place to be announced. Condolences, fond memories and photos may be shared with the family by visiting www.dunnfuneralhome.com.
Arrangements are being handled by Dunn Funeral Home, 408 W. Wooster St., located in the Historical District of Bowling Green.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers or plants, please consider donations which can be made to any Huntington Bank for the Karen L. Marsh Scholarship Fund for Elmwood and New Riegel students.
