junesnowdenJune A. Snowden, age 77, of Wayne, Ohio, died Tuesday morning, January 26, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, Ohio.
She was born November 11, 1932 in Woodbury, New Jersey, to Michael and Edith Mathis. She married Kenneth S. Snowden on December 17, 1955 in Miami, Florida. He survives.
Also surviving are a son, Trent (Kim) Snowden, Wayne, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Susan Snowden, Johnstown, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Kylie, Christine, Treg and Chase.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, James and Michael, and a brother, Paul Mathis.
June worked as a legal secretary and court reporter until she married.
She was a graduate of Miami Edison High School and William Commercial College, Miami, Fla.
Mrs. Snowden was a member of Wood County Farm Bureau Board and Prairie Farmer's Council. She also was chairman of Northwest Ohio Women's Committee Ohio Farm Bureau.

Additional memberships included Wood County Medi-Search Committee and Wood County "648" Board. She was a volunteer of Red Cross at Wood County Hospital, and a member of Wayne United Methodist Church.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Wayne United Methodist Church, Wayne, Ohio. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Kuhlman. Burial will be in Graham Cemetery, Wayne, Ohio.
Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to Wayne United Methodist Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
