Jonathan J. Mossey, 54, of Bowling Green, passed away on June 15th 2014.
Jon, or "Jay" as he was known to his friends, was born in Louisville, KY to the late Jordan and
Joan Mossey and grew up in Pittsfield, MA and Newtown Square, PA.
He attended two years of high school in Taipei, Taiwan while his father served as Logistics Director for
a Philco-Ford manufacturing plant, and had the opportunity to travel the world extensively during this
time.
Jon graduated from Radnor High School in Pennsylvania and was active on the high school swim and water
polo teams. He attended Bowling Green State University and majored in accounting. A resident of Bowling
Green since 1978, Jon enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his younger sister, Emily.
Jon is survived by his older brother Christopher, sister-in-law Linda, his niece Rachael, and his nephew
Steven. He will be interred at the family columbarium at St. Thomas Cemetery in Fairfield, CT at a later
date.
Friends are invited to a celebration of Jon’s life on August 1st between 5:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at
Howard’s Club H in Bowling Green, where Jon worked for many years as a bartender.
