John Robert Meyers, 58, of Nipomo, Calif., formerly of Custar, OH, passed away Jan. 9, 2013 at Santa Maria Hospital in California.
John was born on March 8, 1954 at Wood County Hospital, to the late Carl and Bonnie (Johnson) Meyers.
John married Janis Grabell on Sept. 26, 1984, and she survives. One sister, Carla Carl, and one brother-in-law, Richard Carl, also preceded him in death.
Also surviving John are his brother, James Paul (Richelle) Meyers, Hamler; two sisters, Carol Jeanne (Eric) Donaldson, of Delta, and Deb Diem and fiance, Dr. Jose Guerra, both of Bowling Green; eight nephews, Bradley Diem, Scott and Todd Donaldson, and Jason, Justin, Shane, Ben and Derrick Meyers; four nieces, Deanna Petersen, Dawn Tupciauskas, Peggy and Wendolyn Meyers; and several great-nephews and nieces.
A 1972 graduate of Bowling Green High School, John was employed by American Lincoln up to the time he moved to California, and started working for the United States Postal Service. John's hobbies included raising chihuahuas and horses for a time.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at the Milton Township Cemetery in Custar, OH.
