John A. Meier, age 90, of Perrysburg, OH, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, OH.
He was born on December 25, 1922 in Curtice, OH to John and Almeta (Ahlemann) Meier. On November 10, 1944 he married Doris Metzker in Toledo, OH and she preceded him in death on January 9, 2003.
John was a life long farmer, retiring in 1997 and a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Wayne, OH.
John is survived by his daughter: Beverly (Allyn) Euler of Bowling Green, daughters-in-law: Jan Meier-Nielson of Perrysburg, Sally Meier of Bowling Green, grandchildren: Mark (Kristin) Meier of Ft. Wayne, David (Cathy) Meier of Findlay, Abel (Kylee) Euler of Bowling Green, Jason Euler of Perrysburg, Jim, Paul, Bill and Elizabeth Meier, all of Bowling Green, great-grandchildren: Nathan, Joshua, Jacob, Andrew, Stephen, Caroline, Bailey, Trenton and Kaylynn, brother: Lester (Mary) Meier of Perrysburg and sister: Doris Hille of Bowling Green.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Doris, sons: Richard and Ronald Meier and sister: Lucene Pyers.
As per John's wishes funeral services will be private. Officiating will be Rev. Ron Merritt. Interment will be private in New Bellville Ridge Cemetery, Dowling, OH.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Marsh Funeral Home, 110 Main Street Luckey, OH.
Considerations for memorial contributions are: Church of the Good Shepherd, Luther Home of Mercy or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
