Janice L. Leonard, 73, of Waterville, OH, died June 1, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital.
She was born July 26, 1940 in Youngstown, OH to Arthur and Theresa (Bernard) Hoover.
Janice was a people person and was a friend to all. She was the Bingo queen, and loved gardening and
antiquing.
She married John “Bud” Leonard 55 years ago on January 31, 1959.
He survives along with children, John R. Leonard, Theresa (Robert) Hoen, Thomas Leonard, Joseph (Gerri)
Leonard, Timothy Leonard, Mary Jo (Bob) Simpson, Richard Leonard and Michael (Jen) Leonard; 24
grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly DeCato; and brothers, Paul Hoover and David
(Kathy) Hoover.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Jason Scott Leonard and granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann
Hoen.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 8, 2014 beginning at 1 p.m. at the Peinert-Dunn Funeral
Home, 7220 Dutch Rd. Waterville, OH. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 3 p.m.
The family suggests giving memorials to Hickman Cancer Research at Flower Hospital or The Toledo Area
Humane Society.
