Janet Louise (Schutzberg) Glasgo, mother of Nancy (Mark) Provost and Ruth (William) Lilburn, was born on Oct. 9, 1917 in Middleton Township to Paul and Fern Schutzberg.
She graduated Haskins High School, then earned her education degree from Bowling Green State University. She began teaching Home Economics in Perrysville, OH. She went on to teach Home Ec. and History at Haskins High School and finally French at Otsego High School.
Janet married Victor Glasgo of Perrysville on Sept 23, 1944. They had two daughters: Nancy Provost (TN) and Ruth Lilburn (MI/FL). They lived over 50 years in Haskins, OH.
She was very active in the Haskins Community Church, garden clubs, and judged baked goods and flowers at the Wood County Fair. Her hobbies were flower and vegetable gardening and she always kept a freezer and pantry full of their produce.
Janet was an excellent seamstress and spent a lifetime sewing for her family, including her six grandchildren. Janet had a very busy life but her truest love was her family, and she would do or give anything to her husband, daughters, sons-in-law, and wonderful grandchildren.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Victor, and sister, Betty Mackey.
She is survived by her daughters: Nancy and Ruth, sons-in-law: Mark Provost and Bill Lilburn, and grandchildren: Corey Lilburn, Paul Engle, Melissa Kamis, Jenny Engle, Mark Provost, and Linda Provost, and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Haskins Community Church from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m.
Memorials may be made to the Haskins Community Church.
