James W. Wensink, 88, Palmetto, Fla., passed away on May 31, 2012 at home with family. He was born June 12, 1923 in Deshler, Ohio, and moved to Florida in 1974. He was a decorated Air Force pilot in WWII, lifetime member of American Legion Post 305 and Knights of Columbus. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Helen, daughter, Carol, sister, Rita, six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation was held June 4 at Manasota Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Oneco, Florida. The funeral was held June 5 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Palmetto. To send flowers click here! |
