Eckel-Obit-PhotoJames B. Eckel, age 54, of Perrysburg, OH passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at St. Lukes Hospital, Maumee, OH. He was born in Toledo, OH on January 11, 1956 to Bernard and Margaret (Granger) Eckel. He married Denise Botjer on August 26, 1978 in Hamler, OH and she survives. Jim was a farmer and Pioneer Seed Salesman. His memberships include: Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dowling, OH where he was past president, board member and past president of Luckey Farmers, Farm Council and Honorary Eastwood FFA member.
Surviving Jim is his wife: Denise, sons: Nathan Eckel, of Bowling Green, OH, Nolan Eckel and Nicklaus Eckel both of Perrysburg, OH, parents: Bernard and Margaret Eckel of Perrysburg, OH, brother: Jerri (Susan) Eckel of Crestwood, KY.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, January 24, 2010 from 1-4 & 6-9 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105 Pemberville, OH. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 25, 2010 from Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dowling, OH. Officiating will be Rev. Timothy Rothfuss. Interment will be in New Belleville Ridge Cemetery, Dowling, OH. There will be a bereavement luncheon served at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church immediately following the cemetery committal services. Those giving a memorial contribution may wish to consider Eastwood FFA c/o Eastwood Educational Foundation or Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church.
