Jack W. Harman, age 66, of Wayne, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday (May 5, 2014) at the Wood County Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on March 27, 1948 in Bradner, Ohio to the late John B. and M. Marcine (Diebert) Harman. Jack married Lori A. Stahl on April 27, 1973 in Wayne, Ohio.
Surviving Jack are his loving wife of 41 years, Lori; son, Brian (Keyata) Harman of Bardstown, Kentucky; daughter, Janelle Pistro of Freeland, Michigan; brothers, James (Jennie) Harman of Fairview, Tennessee, Joe (Carol) Harman of Bowling Green, Ohio, Jerry (Virginia) Harman, Jeff (Judy) Harman, both of Bradner, Ohio; sister, Joan King of Fostoria, Ohio; grandchildren Brianna, Kira, Caitlinn, Garrett, Brody, Brazan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marcine; brother, John Harman; sisters, Judith Carver, and infant Iva Rose Harman.
Jack was a 1967 graduate of Lakota High School, and then he served his country proudly in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He worked for the former Stahl Oil in Wayne, and then for Keneco and Midwood in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Jack was a member of the Wayne United Methodist Church, a member of the Albert Bowe American Legion Post #338 in Bradner, a former Boy Scout Leader, and a former little league coach. Jack loved spending all of his time with his family.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday (May 8, 2014) at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday (May 9, 2014) at the Wayne United Methodist Church where a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday (May 9, 2014) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Kuhlman officiating.
Burial will be in Graham cemetery, with military honors performed by the Albert Bowe American Legion Post #338.
There will be a luncheon at the Wayne United Methodist Church immediately following the services.
Memorial donations may be made to the Wayne United Methodist Church.
