Ibert "Joe" S. Burns, 94 of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 01, 2014.
Joe was born in Vivian, Louisiana to the late Virgil N. and Mark (Black) Burns. He married Esther
Lindquist on April 29, 1947 in Angola, Indiana and she preceded him in death on October 1, 2007. Joe was
also preceded in death by a son, Randy Burns; four brothers: Junior, Keith, Darrel and Gene Burns; and
two sisters: Leta and Beverly.
Joe is survived by two sons: Greg (Renee) Burns of Houston, Texas and Jeff (Tammy) Burns of Bradner,
Ohio; a daughter-in-law: Sherry Burns; brother: Norman Burns both of Fostoria, Ohio; five grandchildren
and six great-grandchildren.
Joe graduated from Risingsun Schools and worked as a mechanic at several local garages. Joe began his
business career as an insurance agent for Modern Woodmen of America, he later became a Real Estate Agent
for the Bivens Real Estate Company.
Joe served on the Wood County, Ohio and National Board of Realtors.
Visitation for Joe will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 6 p.m. until the time of his Funeral
Service at 7 p.m. in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY REMEBRANCE CHAPEL, 1460 W.
