Howard R. Cornell, 91, of Perrysburg, Ohio, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Heartland of Perrysburg.
He was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 23, 1921 to Arnold and Marion (Berdue) Cornell.
Howard graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1939 and proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Afterwards he worked for the United States Post Office as a letter carrier and retired in 1975.
Howard leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Michael (Pat) Cornell of Fredericksburg, VA, and David (Kim) Cornell of Rossford, OH; four grandchildren, John, James, Julie and Jennie; two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Harper plus one on the way, Savannah.
Family and friends will be received at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) on Monday, April 6, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with funeral services to begin at noon. Burial will follow at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery.
