Herman E. Roe, 78, of Weston, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013.
Herman was born in Wood County to the late Warren and Grace (Green) Roe. He married Lauretta Weaver and she preceded him in death in 1972. Herman then married Fran Hillard on November 30, 1973 and she survives in Weston.
Also surviving Herman are his children, Mikel (Carolyn) Roe, Tony Roe, Erma (John) Hillard, Herman (Holly) Roe, Mike (Susan) Amos, Jean (Dan) Ford, Kim (Don) Dilsaver, Wes (Joann) Amos, Todd (Melinda) Amos and Brad (Jackie) Amos; 27 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law Linda Roe-Williamson.
Herman was preceded in death by his son, Lewis Roe; a brother Gloyd and two great-grandchildren.
Herman was a member of the Abiding Word Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bowling Green and enjoyed carpentry.
Herman made end tables, book cases and corner shelving for himself and his family. He enjoyed fishing, especially up in Minnesota and hunting. Herman especially loved reading the Bible and going up every morning to Burger King for a cup of coffee and to socialize with his friends.
Herman was a farmer and also drove truck independently.
Visitation for Herman will be held on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster St., Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
Herman's funeral service will be held on Saturday September 28, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Abiding Word Evangelical Lutheran Church, 17202 N. Mercer Rd., Bowling Green, Ohio 43402, with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in the Weston Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Herman's honor to the church or to the charity of the donors' choice.
