Helen M. Sams, age 88, of Bradner, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (March 6, 2013) at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on December 31, 1924 in Risingsun, Ohio to the late Edward and Anna (Carpenter) Crawfoot.
She married Robert L. Sams on July 10, 1946 in Fostoria, Ohio and he passed away on September 24, 1997.
Surviving are daughters, Jeannie (Jim) Zeis of Rudolph, Linda D. (Dennis) Milligan of Bradner, Bonnie S. (Stephen) Wasserman of Helena, Susan M. (Barry) Wasserman of Helena; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert; son, James E. Sams; sisters, Alice Wollam, Doris Hart; four half brothers and one half sister.
Helen was a homemaker, life member of the Albert Bowe American Legion Post #338 Auxiliary in Bradner and was a 1942 Graduate of Mark Township High School.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting.
Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m. Sunday (March 10, 2013) at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio, where a Memorial Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday with Pastor G. Jeannie Weber officiating.
Burial will be in Bradner Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the Bridge Home Health & Hospice of Bowling Green.
