Helen L. (Vollmar-Cline) Petersen, 84, of Grand Rapids, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at North Crest Nursing Home, Napoleon, Ohio.
Helen was born August 15, 1928 in Tontogany, Ohio to Herschel and Edna Vollmar.
She worked at American Lincoln, Bowling Green, Ohio in the Warehouse for 20 years retiring in 1989.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Samuel (Kathy) Cline; daughters, Mary (Bill) Nalbach, Lucy Hillsberry; brothers, Jerry and Kent (Denise) Vollmar; sister, Donna Bell (Virgil) Malburg, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Petersen, parents and brothers, John, Merland and Bill Vollmar.
Visitation for Helen will be at Wright-Habegger Funeral Home, 24084 2nd St., Grand Rapids, Ohio 43522 on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 1 to 4 p.m., with the funeral service starting at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Internment will be at a later date at Tontogany Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Golden Living Center Northcrest for the wonderful care Mom received during the past year and final days. Mom really was content playing bingo, doing crafts and getting her hair done every Wednesday. Also a special thanks to her special nurse and daughter-in-law Kathy Cline. Mom loves you so much.
