Helen Brueggemeier, 97, of Fremont, died Monday morning at Bethesda Care Center.
Helen was born December 22, 1915 in Pemberville, OH, the daughter of Henry and Caroline (Aufderstrasse) Kahlenberg.
She was a graduate of Pemberville High School, attended business school and was a bookkeeper for the former Sandusky County Federal Savings and Loan. Helen was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was active in the choir and many church ministries.
She is preceded in death by her husband Marcus, sisters: Anna Avers, Marie Brueggemeier, Doris Sander; brother, Ernest Kahlenberg.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 212 N. Clover Street, Fremont, OH. Funeral services will begin at the church at 11 a.m. with Pastor Joe Lees officiating. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, 4210 W. Central Ave, Toledo, OH.
