Harriet Young
Harriet Young, age 86, of Luckey, OH, passed away on Saturday evening, August 9, 2013 at the Toledo Hospital.
She was born on February 4, 1927 in Point Place, OH, to Harry and Margaret (Rabiedau) Wandtke. On April 25, 1948 she married George Young in Toledo, OH and he preceded her in death.
Harriet was a homemaker and a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Luckey, OH, and the women of the church. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and spending time with family.
Surviving Harriet are her children: Barbara Young of Bowling Green, OH, Michael (Carolyn) Young and Steven (Jeanette) Young, both of Gibsonburg, OH, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband: George, daughters: Jo Ann, infant daughter Amy and sister: Carla Giesler.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Home, Luckey, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 11 a.m. from Zion Lutheran Church, Luckey, OH, where there will be additional visitation from 10 a.m. until time of services. Officiating will be Rev. Randy Winsand. Interment will be in Troy Township Cemetery, Luckey, OH.
There will be a bereavement luncheon held at the church immediately following the cemetery committal services.
Considerations for memorial contributions are to: Zion Lutheran Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
