TroutG3Gene Mears Trout, 88, of Bowling Green, died Sunday January 24, 2010 at the Toledo Hospital.
She was born October 15, 1921 in Pemberville, Ohio to Harold and Martha Rhoda.
She was a loving and devoted mother of 3 girls, a grandmother of 6, great-grandmother of 7 and "surrogate" mom and grandma of countless children throughout her life.
Surviving family members are her daughters: Barbara (Frank) Raeske of Rossford, OH, Kathie Mears of Sandusky, OH, and Susan (Rik) Dowswell of Tampa, FL. Grandchildren: Melanie (Paul) Smoot, Rebecca (Stephen) Grinch, Jayson (Tabitha) Dowswell, Rachel (Frank) Christopher, Adam Dowswell and Kurt Dowswell. Great-grandchildren: Alexis and Brandi Smoot, Charlotte Grinch, Jonah and Savannah Dowswell, and Emma Grace and Jake Christopher.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, January 29, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Village View Church of Christ where she was a member. Rev. David Boswell will officiate. Burial will be at Wood County Memory Gardens.


A closed casket visitation will be at the church, 801 West Poe Road, Friday prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Mom was passionate about an upcoming mission trip to build a home in the Foothills of Kentucky, therefore in lieu of flowers and in honor and memory of her, you may contribute to this mission project through Village View Church of Christ, attention Missions Trip.
Dunn Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
